Ownership Structures
The vast majority of the world's beer volume flows through a small number of multinational groups. This page is a placeholder — detailed ownership maps are coming.
The global consolidators
- AB InBev — Budweiser, Stella Artois, Corona, Leffe, Hoegaarden, Beck's, Goose Island, and many more.
- Heineken — Heineken, Amstel, Sol, Tiger, Desperados, Lagunitas.
- Carlsberg — Carlsberg, Tuborg, Kronenbourg, Somersby.
- Molson Coors — Coors, Miller, Blue Moon, Staropramen.
- Asahi — Peroni, Pilsner Urquell, Grolsch, Fuller's.
Why it matters
- Many "craft" or "local" labels are owned by one of the groups above.
- Consolidation shapes what ingredients get used, which styles get distributed, and what gets shelved.
- Ownership rarely appears on the label.
What we'll track
- Acquisition timelines.
- Parent-company disclosure on the label.
- Cross-holdings via distribution and hop supply contracts.
More coming soon.
